Boban ($4.80) is a four-time Group 1 winner and has maintained status as clear favourite in 2015 Memsie Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au as a result, ahead of Volkstok’n’Barrell ($8.50), Hi World and Stratum Star; currently sharing the third line at generous $9 quotes.

Will Boban justify favouritism and win the 2015 Memsie Stakes or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

Stratum Star ($9)

Four-year-old Stratum Star stamped his claims as a serious racehorse through the recent Autumn Carnival and offers incredible value for money at 2015 Memsie Stakes odds of $9 for success. Returning this year for second in the William Hill Plate (1300m), the Stratum gelding ran third in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) before producing undoubtedly a career best performance to date for third in the Group 1 Australia Guineas (1600m). While needing some luck from barrier 8, Stratum Star will be partnered by Ben Melham and is a great chance of success.

Smokin’ Joey ($16)

Smokin’ Joey is a proven performer over course, distance and at the class, and is sure to find ideal running position for his style from barrier 11. A Group 1 winner having taken out the 2014 The Goodwood (1200m), the Encosta De Lago gelding returned this year for fourth in the Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) in January; progressing to success in the Group 3 Carlyon Cup (1600m) before running an agonizingly-close second to Suavito in the Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m) most notably.

Entirely Platinum ($10)

Team Hawkes runner Entirely Platinum returned this year for a close second to Dissident in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) under the conditions, and should get a sweet run on Saturday from barrier 7. Continuing to impressive when fourth in the Futurity Stakes and sixth in the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m), Entirely Platinum has pleased in the lead-up to his racing return and is a great chance of delivering on good odds this weekend.
