Happy Trails has been set for the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) in late October and has been included for his second start this time in 2015 Memsie Stakes nominations.

A three-time Group 1 winner, Happy Trails was a typically strong and consistent performer for Paul Beshara through the 2014 Spring Carnival; running eighth in the Memsie Stakes before finishing an agonizingly-close second in the Group 1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) ending his campaign with success in the Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m).

Returning for a rare Autumn Carnival campaign this year, the Good Journey gelding placed second in the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (1800m) and third in the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m); failing to account for the heavy going in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) on Day 2 of The Championships but doing enough for seventh.

Queensland trainer Tony Gollan has been thrilled with the condition of veteran Temple Of Boom this season and has included the popular veteran in 2015 Memsie Stakes nominations.

A Group 1 winner having taken out the 2012 edition of The Galaxy (1100m), Temple Of Boom has posted eleven wins and sixteen minors through an incredible 60 career starts.

Unable to make much of an impact through three starts upon resuming in winter, the Piccolo gelding returned for a brief spell after boxing on for a close third in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) on June 6th; resuming this time for a close third in the Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200m) on August 8th.

Leading trainer Chris Waller is set to launch a two pronged attack in the Caulfield feature after including both Boban and Weary in 2015 Memsie Stakes nominations.

A four-time Group 1 winner, Boban was unable to make much of an impact through an early Autumn Carnival campaign, but returned to the winner’s circle in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) upon arriving in Brisbane; returning to the paddock after finishing second in the Stradbroke Handicap.

French import Weary is yet to post a win at the highest level, but appears primed to break the duck in the 2015 Memsie Stakes after running a close second in the Missile Stakes first-up.

2013 Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner was a shining light for an otherwise underperforming Macedon Lodge through the 2014 Spring Carnival and appears likely for a racing return this weekend after being included in 2015 Memsie Stakes nominations.

Posting ten wins and eight minors through 26 career starts, Fawkner returned to racing last spring for second in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) on September 13th; progressing to success in the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes (2000m) before finishing a close second to Adelaide in the Cox Plate.

Having returned to the paddock after boxing on for tenth in the Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) on November 4th, the Reset gelding has reportedly worked well in the lead-up to the Memsie Stakes.

The 2015 Memsie Stakes final field and barrier draw is due to be completed and released by midday, Wednesday.
